Food for People's 5th Annual
CANstruction(r) competition and exhibition
Saturday, April 5th, 2014

Each year, Food for People invites local schools, businesses and organizations to participate in our annual CANstruction(r) competition and exhibition, by building colossal structures made entirely out of full cans of food. After the sculptures are built, the creations go on display to the public as an art exhibition during April's Arts Alive! in Old Town Eureka. Prizes are awarded based on nutritional content, size and creativity.  At the end of the event, all food is donated to Food for People, the Food Bank for Humboldt County.

It's easy to participate! Create a team (2-8 people), collect or purchase cans, and build a sculpture. Alternately, you can sponsor a team by providing canned food items, or the funds needed to purchase food. Build day will take place this year on Saturday, April 5th, and the exhibit will be held that evening in Old Town Eureka.
