Join Parent Voices Humboldt for our next meeting on Friday, February 7,
2014 from 6:00PM-7:30PM at the Jefferson School located at 1000 B St.,
Eureka. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about issues
impacting the quality of child care locally and statewide as well as
meet other parents, and learn about resources in the community, and ways
to use your voice to advocate for our children. 

 

Topics of discussion will include a debriefing from the recent Parent
Voices Statewide retreat, and examining how the Governor's proposed
budget will impact subsidized childcare and preschool programs. We will
also be making plans for Stand for Children 2014, taking place at the
California State capitol on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014. 

 

Parent Voices Humboldt is a parent-run, parent-led grassroots
organization striving to make quality child care accessible and
affordable to all families.  Through participation in Parent Voices,
parents can come together to use their collective power to make
long-term changes in child care policy at local, state and federal
levels. Parent Voices Humboldt meets monthly at the Jefferson School,
1000 B St., Eureka.  A healthy meal, free child care, and Spanish
translating will be provided.
